I’m not sure what the moral is, but I definitely agree. A Chuck Jones cartoon.

I like this cover of La Mer, and the accompanying slideshow is thrilling:
Did you know the lyrics to ‘La Mer’ are completely different from ‘Beyond the Sea’?

Bye Bye Sweater
Two great blue flavors together. The first is the opening and closing of the 1963 film, Bye Bye Birdie, which is an adaptation of a stage musical of the same name. A brief clip of Ann-Margaret giving it her all in front of a blue backdrop was featured in the current season of Mad Men. It’s a relatively unremarkable comedy, with some endearing moments, like this inexplicable opening song. It’s a silly movie. Shucks, it ain’t half bad.
The second video is the Spike Jonze-directed Weezer video for Undone: The Sweater Song.
There isn’t a clear route on how to mash them together, but wouldn’t that be something?

Here is a nice set of photos of San Francisco in 1941, mostly along the waterfront. It’s nice that some things change slowly.
